BuurSine production zones

Senegal has certain climatic advantages: the mild climate along the coast allows a greater time spacing of products (November to June) in comparison with other Sahel countries.

Additionally, the country benefits from a good port infrastructure in Dakar, which is the West African port nearest to Europe. The main production zones of fruit and vegetables are the Niayes and the natural region of Casamance.

During the past years, “origin of Senegal” has known an important increase in fruit and vegetable exportations (mangoes, melons, green beans, snow peas, cherry tomatoes and red and white onions) to the European Union.

“Origin of Senegal” commits actively to the modernisation of its horticultural sector, the “quality” certification of a growing number of companies and we know how to exploit the competitive logistic advantage of the sea port to reach the European markets.
